Interactive Partner Directory: Santa Barbara County Wildfire Resilience Players

There are many people, organizations and agencies working in the fire readiness and climate resilience fields here in Santa Barbara County, but even professionals dedicated to wildfire prevention in the county are not necessarily aware of and connected to everyone else doing this work. A primary goal of the RPP and its sister project the Climate Resilience Roundtables is to weave these initiatives together and to begin to build the infrastructure, systems and capacity to serve as a hub for current and future collaboration.

During our extensive outreach and community engagement work, the RPP team collected relevant data about people, organizations, projects, data sets and more. Though of course incomplete and limited due to budget constraints, the information gathered has been loaded into knowledge graph software called KGbase that allows the data and connections within it to be visualized, explored and analyzed online. The team is exploring a variety of options to expand on this initial work and extend the system's capabilities in service or our work empowering the high impact collaboration needed across sectors and fields to advance resilience initiatives.
